LAUNCH! OAA Headquarters Grand Reopening

As part of its 2022 Conference, Inspiring Climate Action, the OAA is thrilled to finally welcome you back to its Toronto headquarters, designed by architect Ruth Cawker. Join us for a free event where you can catch up with familiar faces and view the many achievements that came from the Renew+Refresh renovation led by project architect David Fujiwara in concert with the Association.

More than five years ago, the OAA committed to retrofitting its nearly 30-year-old building in Don Mills. The Association remains acutely aware of how the built environment—and those who design, construct, and operate buildings—impact climate change. In a bid to reach net-zero carbon and meet the 2030 Challenge a decade early, in 2018 the OAA began a deep energy retrofit and interior renovation.

The OAA headquarters renovations wrapped up in the summer of 2019, and staff had only just settled back in to new and improved office space when the pandemic hit Ontario in March 2020. The OAA closed the doors to 111 Moatfield Drive in accordance with local public health guidelines, and awaited its opportunity for a grand reopening. Two years later, the time has finally come to say “welcome back!”

*Proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for entry. Masks are mandatory.
