The McEwen School of Architecture Master of Architecture (M.Arch) is looking for members of the profession to volunteer as second readers for its program. This is a research and design project that includes a self-directed architectural project and integral critical written discourse of 10,000 to 15,000 words.
Each thesis student is paired with a full-time faculty member who serves as thesis advisor. By mid-November, they must confirm a second reader who may be a practitioner, a professor, a sessional instructor, or anyone with expertise relevant to the thesis. This person becomes a member of the student’s Thesis Committee, but is only obligated to be involved on two occasions: the mid-December reviews (held via Zoom) and the final thesis defense (traditionally held in-person or via Zoom in mid-April).
This is not a remunerated position. For more information, contact
