Your Role
We are looking for a Job Captain / Senior Job Captain to join our growing team, someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys the rhythm of fast-paced project delivery, and wants to be a trusted contributor on a close-knit team.
This role is well-suited to a technical and production-focused professional with experience delivering retail, restaurant, and QSR projects across multiple phases. You will also have the opportunity to work across other sectors including multi-unit residential, auto dealerships, and senior living.
You will work closely with the Principal Architect, consultants, and clients to develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality drawing packages. If you are someone who values being relied upon, takes ownership naturally, and enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish - this role was designed with you in mind.
What You Will Do
• Prepare and coordinate architectural drawing packages across design development, permit, tender, and construction phases
• Lead day-to-day production and coordination on assigned projects, serving as the primary driver on each file
• Assist with site measurements, existing conditions documentation, and building code / zoning coordination
• Support permit, landlord/tenant, and client submission packages across multiple Canadian jurisdictions
• Respond to RFIs, shop drawings, and site-related coordination items as required
• Maintain drawing quality, consistency, and production standards across a concurrent portfolio of active projects
What You Bring
• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Interior Design
• 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in retail, restaurant, and/or QSR projects is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and modeling software
• In-depth understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation
• Strong coordination skills with demonstrated experience managing consultants, contractors, and stakeholder communications
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines across concurrent projects
• Valid Class G driver's licence
• Ability to occasionally travel within Canada for project-related responsibilities, including site visits, client meetings, and, at times, multi-night staysSalary
Range$80-$90,000.00
