POSITION: Junior Architectural Technologist

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist in the development of architectural designs under the supervision of principal architect and senior staff

• Work under the supervision of senior staff to maintain project schedules and firm commitments

• Assist in review of building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents

• Prepare CAD drawings from conceptual drawings and instructions

• Construct architectural 3-D virtual models and renderings of architectural designs

• Help coordinate with various engineering and building consultants for the preparation of design and working drawings for approvals, tender and construction

• Visit construction project sites to review work on site, prepare reports and assist in answering questions from contractors

Our perfect candidate will be someone who is well-organized, proactive, outgoing, and able to work independently and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The minimum technical skills required for the position are:

• A 3 year degree from a reputable architectural technology programme

• Proficiency in Revit, good knowledge of AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

• Good understanding of OBC and Building Science

• Excellent drafting skills and ability to adhere to strict drafting standards

• Good knowledge of construction methods and procedures

• Organizational and time management skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to understand technical matters and problem solve with attention to detail

• Commitment to meeting strict deadlines, hardworking, self-motivated

• Passion and commitment to quality, excellence and efficiency, and self-improvement

• Emphasis on efficiency and accuracy is essential

• Ability to work within a technical team, share knowledge and collaborate

• Familiarity of other 3D CAD software and rendering programs is an asset

• Ability to take direction and to adhere to strict quality standards

• Team Player and Quick Learner

 Positive attitude of responsibility and desire to learn are as important as your technical skills or even more.

Salary Range$45K - $50K
