POSITION: Junior Architectural Technologist
Masri O Architects (MORe) is an entrepreneurial architectural firm located in Waterloo Innovation Park. Your responsibilities include:

Assist in the development of architectural designs under the supervision of principal architect and senior staff

Work under the supervision of senior staff to maintain project schedules and firm commitments

Assist in review of building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents

Prepare CAD drawings from conceptual drawings and instructions

Construct architectural 3-D virtual models and renderings of architectural designs

Help coordinate with various engineering and building consultants for the preparation of design and working drawings for approvals, tender and construction

Visit construction project sites to review work on site, prepare reports and assist in answering questions from contractors
Our perfect candidate will be someone who is well-organized, proactive, outgoing, and able to work independently and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The minimum technical skills required for the position are:

A 3 year degree from a reputable architectural technology programme

Proficiency in Revit, good knowledge of AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

Good understanding of OBC and Building Science

Excellent drafting skills and ability to adhere to strict drafting standards

Good knowledge of construction methods and procedures
-
Organizational and time management skills
-
Good written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to understand technical matters and problem solve with attention to detail

Commitment to meeting strict deadlines, hardworking, self-motivated
-
Passion and commitment to quality, excellence and efficiency, and self-improvement
-
Emphasis on efficiency and accuracy is essential

Ability to work within a technical team, share knowledge and collaborate

Familiarity of other 3D CAD software and rendering programs is an asset

Ability to take direction and to adhere to strict quality standards

Salary Range$45K - $50K
