OAA Issues Statement on Bill 60

In its role to regulate the practice of architecture to protect the public interest, the OAA has been monitoring the development of Bill 60, Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025 since its introduction on October 23, 2025. The Association has identified some welcome changes and also shares concerns that have been voiced by members of the profession, others in the design/construction community, and the wider public.

The OAA issues this statement on the proposed bill in place of a formal submission, as government passed a time allocation motion on this bill and, as a result, it will not be referred to a Committee for further consultation.
