At the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on April 15, the OAA honoured its newest Members of Long Standing—individuals who have achieved the milestone of 50 years of membership with the OAA, contributing to Ontario’s built environment and its architecture profession.
Among this year’s honourees was Youssef M. Tadros.

Youssef was born on September 18, 1938, in Cairo, Egypt, and graduated from Cairo University in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree in architectural and town planning. In 1971, he immigrated to Canada with his wife and two children, later welcoming a third child. Youssef received his licence from the OAA in 1975.
After working with Petroff & Jeruzalski Architects until 1980, Youssef founded his own practice, YT Architectural Services, which he continues to lead today. With 50 years of service to Ontario architecture, Yousef’s legacy reflects professional excellence and a rich family journey.
Reflecting on his long-standing membership, Youssef expressed pride in being part of a dignified organization that supports its members and their best interests.
