This presentation will provide an overview of noise transmission and the common acoustical challenges faced every day in the construction industry. A variety of case study projects will be reviewed such as residential, mixed use, commercial and large auditoriums.
We will focus on sound isolation, room acoustics and acoustical challenges and myths. A brief introduction to STC, IIC and reverberation time will be covered.
This session will be informative and helpful to both new and experienced architects as it will provide a strong foundation for making optimal acoustic design decisions.
