One of the most critical issues for architects is ensuring that building design addresses fire-safety issues. Fire-resistance ratings have long been used to measure the performance of various constructions for fire containment purposes. The natural fire-resistant properties of gypsum make it an ideal material for fire containment. This presentation will focus on the proper use and application of gypsum fire-rated partitions to achieve code compliance and conform to design criteria. It will also address the current issues and challenges of specifying gypsum wallboard partitions.
This event is presented by Chris Davidson of Enercorp, Inc and is sponsored by CGC and the Grand Valley Society of Architects.
