The OAA has a vacancy for the Northern Ontario electoral district seat for its governing Council. The board of directors for the Association, Council sets policy direction to help ensure the practice of architecture is regulated to serve the public interest. The seat is open to those whose address of record is in the territorial districts of Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Manitoulin, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Rainy River, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, or Timiskaming.
When a vacancy is created, Council is required to appoint an eligible OAA member to fill the seat for the remainder of the term (until December 2027). Accordingly, the OAA is soliciting expressions of interest for this vacancy and the Council will appoint a licence-holding member from the submissions received.
All interested Architects in good standing with an address of record in the Northern Ontario electoral district are invited to submit this completed Expression of Interest Form and CV to the Office of the Registrar by Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
At its meeting on January 22, 2026, Council will consider all submissions. Applicants will be informed of the decision before the end of that month.
