The Fire Industry Education Resource Organization (F.I.E.R.O.) has opened submissions for the 2025 Fire Facilities Design Awards Program. Celebrating its 19th year, the program honours excellence in the design and construction of fire stations and emergency facilities across the nation.
Held in tandem with the 23rd annual Fire Station Design Symposium, set for September 21–22 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, South Carolina, the event offers attendees an opportunity to explore cutting-edge advancements in fire station architecture.
Eligible projects include new builds, renovations, adaptations, and legacy facilities more than 25 years old. Submissions must feature innovative design elements, health and wellness solutions, or exceptional community impact. Participants have until August 15 to submit their PDF panels to Heritage Printing, with Dropbox folders due one week later on August 22.
Winning projects will be displayed during the symposium, and honorees may receive publication exposure. The awards jury, composed of design and fire service professionals, will announce winners on September 22 during the symposium’s opening.
