The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) supports the Fairness Commissioner by assessing the registration or licensing practices of certain regulated professions and trades—including architecture—to ensure they are transparent, objective, impartial, and fair for anyone applying to practise in Ontario. This mandate is set out in the Fair Access to Regulated Professions and Compulsory Trades Act, 2006 (FARPACTA) and the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA).
The “Annual Fair Registration Practices Report” is part of the OFC’s mandate and completed each year by the OAA. To read the most recent report, as well as others over the years, visit the OAA Website.
