On September 30, engineer Michael Lio will lead the session “2020/2022 Low-Rise Code Changes” to explore the updates in the Ontario Building Code that come into effect in 2022, regarding low-rise housing, Parts 6, 7, and 9, as well as changes to stairs, guards, and handrails. The event is part of the OAA Continuing Education Webinar Series, which has live closed-captioning and was created to expand learning opportunities to help Architects and Licensed Technologists OAA meet the mandatory ConEd Program requirements.

There are also free upcoming webinars to fulfil the mandatory requirement for education related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Brenda James presents “Human Rights in the Workplace” on September 23 while Tana Turner leads the session, “The Business Case for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” on October 7.
