The Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) is hosting a public review of proposed changes to the 2020 editions of the National Model Codes, including the National Building Code of Canada, the National Fire Code of Canada, the National Plumbing Code of Canada, and the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings. These are of particular importance because of continual harmonization between the national codes and the building code in Ontario.

Until December 23, OAA members are encouraged to comment on suggested changes via the CCBFC website. The final changes will then be included in the 2025 National Model Codes, published by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).
