The Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) has once again transformed the holiday season with its annual Gingerbread City, an edible metropolis celebrating Canadian culture and creativity. This year’s theme highlights iconic Canadian landmarks and stories, crafted entirely from gingerbread and sweets.
The showcase features creations like a tribute to the Canadarm and the International Space Station, a gingerbread rendition of Toronto’s City Hall ice rink, and an homage to MuchMusic’s legendary studio. Other highlights include a recreation of the Lillian H. Smith Library, a cozy winter cabin, and even a snowy Roman Colosseum.
For younger architects, the Kids’ Main Street returns with 30 vibrant façades designed by children aged 3 to 13 during hands-on workshops.
Select creations will be put on display at The Maker Bean Café (1052 Bloor St W, Toronto) until mid-January 2026.
