The University of Toronto has revealed the return of the Daniels Design Discovery Program for Summer 2026. Designed for high school students aged 14 to 18, the program provides a comprehensive introduction to the discipline of architecture.
The program uses a hands-on learning approach to help individuals develop essential skills in architectural representation, spatial thinking, and creative problem-solving. Attendees can choose from two-week courses focused on Drawing Practices and Model Making, with a Portfolio Building course specifically designed for students aged 16 to 18. The two-week August intensive explores how to plan, organize, and present design work effectively to prospective universities and/or organizations.
All sessions run on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during July and August. Students work directly out of the design facilities at the Daniels Building, located at 1 Spadina Crescent in Toronto.
Registration is now open and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Click the button below to learn more about course dates and fee structures.
